laboratory impregnation coating machine

A laboratory impregnation coating machine is a specialized piece of equipment designed for small-scale, controlled application of coating or impregnation materials onto samples, substrates, or components in a research and development environment. It is commonly used in laboratories that focus on material science, surface treatment, electronics, textiles, paper, filtration media, batteries, and advanced composites. The machine provides a precise and repeatable way to introduce liquid, slurry, resin, or other functional materials into porous structures or onto flat surfaces, making it an important tool for experimentation, process development, and quality testing. One of the main features of a laboratory impregnation coating machine is its ability to control coating thickness and penetration depth. In many applications, the goal is not only to cover the surface but also to allow the coating material to penetrate into internal pores, fibers, or microstructures. This helps improve properties such as waterproofing, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, adhesion, mechanical strength, or chemical stability. The equipment usually includes adjustable parameters such as coating speed, temperature, pressure, gap distance, and material flow rate, allowing users to tailor the process to different materials and research objectives. The machine is often compact in size, making it suitable for benchtop use in laboratories with limited space. Despite its small footprint, it is designed to deliver stable and uniform performance. A typical laboratory impregnation coating machine may include a coating head, sample holder, drive system, control panel, and optional heating or vacuum units. Some models are equipped with precision rollers, doctor blades, or slot-die systems to ensure consistent material distribution. Others may use dipping, spraying, or rolling techniques depending on the type of substrate and desired coating effect. In addition to coating, the machine can be used for impregnation processes where liquid substances are forced into the internal structure of a material. This is especially useful for porous substrates such as foam, paper, ceramics, nonwoven fabrics, and filter media. By controlling the amount of liquid applied and the time allowed for absorption, researchers can study how different formulations and processing conditions affect performance. This makes the equipment valuable for testing new resins, adhesives, functional additives, and protective treatments before moving to pilot or industrial production.Ease of operation is another important advantage. Most laboratory impregnation coating machines are equipped with digital controls and programmable settings, enabling users to save process parameters and achieve high reproducibility. Safety features such as emergency stop buttons, overload protection, and temperature control are often included to ensure reliable operation during experiments. The machine is also designed for easy cleaning and maintenance, which is essential when working with different chemical formulations.Overall, a laboratory impregnation coating machine is an essential research instrument for developing and evaluating coating and impregnation technologies. It offers precision, flexibility, and repeatability, helping scientists and engineers optimize materials and processes in a controlled laboratory setting. Its role in product development and performance testing makes it an important tool for modern material research and innovation.

The Annimet Continuous Dip Coating Machine adopts a two-roll pond size-press coating method, designed for laboratory sampling of impregnation and double-sided sizing on flat paper, carbon paper, and textile nonwovens. Using a nip-pond feeding method, it enables both quantitative and continuous circulating sizing with precise glue control and easy operation. The machine comprises unwinding, glue pond and control, drying, rewinding, tension adjustment, web guiding, and PLC control systems, forming a complete continuous sampling process. The coating width is 500 mm, glue pond capacity is 300 ml, and the glue feed rate is adjustable from 160 to 750 ml/min. The pressure roller is electrically heated from room temperature to 150°C with a heating power of 2.5KW×2. The drying system is a column arch-bridge type with a 1.5 m oven featuring 2 independent temperature zones from room temperature to 150°C±5°C. Both unwinding and rewinding use dual-position quick-change gear chucks with 3-inch air shafts, automatic magnetic powder clutch, and torque control. With a compact size and precise glue control, it is an ideal coating device for sampling and process parameter research in enterprises, research institutes, and universities.
